SUMMARY:
IT Support Technician

POSITION INFO:

Our client is a bilingual, co-educational primary and high school in the Cape Town CBD.
Technology is extensively used both in the classroom as well as in the administration.
You will work in a team with 2 other technicians and the IT Manager. Our approach to technology is very hands on: You will work with various items e.g. computers, iPads – but also with a drill and a grinder at times.

Your tasks will include:

· Provide technical support to staff, learners and parents on all school-relevant IT Systems

· Provide support on site, telephonically or via remote systems

· Install and maintain hardware, software, AV systems and network infrastructure

· Process device loans and returns (iPads, Laptops etc.)

· Technical support for school events and functions

Requirements:

· Matric, Helpdesk / Service desk certification, but more importantly: work experience

· 4+ years’ experience in technical support

· 4+ years’ experience in network setup and maintenance (LAN/Wifi)

· Solid knowledge of Windows10, OSX and iOS

· Solid knowledge of Office365 and Microsoft Office Suite

· Knowledge of Windows Server, VM Ware and Network Management systems advantageous

· A+, N+, MTA, MSCA or similar accreditation advantageous

· No fear of heights

· Excellent English language skills and German language skills advantageous
