What the person must be able to do:

This role is in the Manufacturing sector. All duties would take place in this context.

*  Solutions planning, architecture, implementations, support and upgrades

*  System changes, audits and support escalation

*  Assist in LEVEL-2 support and liaise with the vendor management for resolution of problems

*  Providing technical planning advice to clients/business units

*  Implement the policies and procedures regarding security

Key Job Deliverables:

*  Ensure the IT System is Stable

*  Ensure IT System Runs Optimally

*  Speedily Resolve IT Support Calls

Background work experience:

*  5 years Systems administration in a mission critical environment

*  4 years Systems hardware and operational support of servers, backup devices, cabling and racking of systems

*  4 years Systems Software (Windows/Linux)

*  2 years IT Technical Guidance to Business

*  Degree Information Systems or A+, N+

*  Advantageous: Microsoft, Cisco or ERP Certifications

*  Advanced IT System upgrades, support and security

*  Administering the IT system to ensure optimal performance and stability

*  Working with IT Hardware, OS and external peripherals like printers

*  Administering Windows and Linux

*  Working with and guiding business in technology upgrades

*  Advantageous: SQL queries, stored procedures, reports, dashboards, and integration

Personality Summary:

Salary: Market Related. In the Range of R240K to R500K per annum. Highly exceptional more senior candidates may be considered.
