IT Support Engineer (Cape Town, Remote) R40K – R50K Per Month.

POSITION INFO:

The Engineer will have a minimum of 5 years’ experience of installing, using, supporting or administering PC''s, communications and network security in a Microsoft environment.

 This will include all or most of the following: 

Experience

- 3 years’ experience supporting most of recent versions of the Microsoft Windows Operating System

- 3 years’ experience of supporting or administering MS 365 and Azure

- 2 years’ experience of MS SQL (Optional)

- 2 years’ experience of troubleshooting complex IT problems

Certification and Skills

- Preferably a minimum of 1 or more Microsoft Certified Professional Exams {MCSE and/or MCP level)

- an advanced knowledge of desktop and server hardware and recent Microsoft operating systems (Windows 7, 10, 11 and Server 2008/2016/2019)

- an advanced specialist knowledge of one or more of nominated Microsoft or other technologies

- a well-developed understanding of networking, networking protocols and network equipment, anti-malware products, Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Office products; and

- a working knowledge of Azure technologies

- possess the ability to work both unsupervised and as a member of a small team

- be able to prioritise his/her work, manage several tasks simultaneously and to work under pressure and to timescale

Your office must be a HOME OFFICE (no internet café’s or coffee shops)

Remote connection will be needed via VPN to connect to an office machine in the UK, constant internet connection and electricity will be a MUST as well as your own pc and headset.

Working hours in SA time:

29 Oct – 26 Mar: 11:00-19:30

26 Mar – 29 Oct: 10:00-1830

Due to UK Daylight savings time

UK bank holidays (public holidays) will be observed and not SA bank holidays, so there will be 3 or 4 days per year you will need to work on the SA bank holiday.
