SUMMARY:
A leading waste management Company is seeking the services of a veteran IT Supervisor for its operations in Germiston.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

PURPOSE OF POSITION:

Directing the work of information technology personnel, setting priorities and coordinating their activities. Evaluating and verifying employee performances through performance evaluation techniques.

RESPONSIBILITES RELATING TO KEY PERFORMANCE AREA

Provide 2nd line remote desktop and server support,
First line Active Directory, O365 Exchange, Intune, and Azure administration
Troubleshoot any ad hoc IT issues
Monitor, manage and actively patch servers and workstations
Periodically review server logs for potential problems
Patch workstation clients and applications regularly
Adhere to IT framework and policies in accordance to Group standard
Support internal stakeholders and manage third party vendors
Understand the company''s business functions and improve IT processes
Support users on in-house developed and deployed applications
Participate and manage project rollouts
Ensure outsourced services are in-line with Service Level Agreement
Perform IT reviews and assessment of procedures and controls
Create and maintain documentation on IT manuals and procedures
Implement and manage new processes
Prepare regular and ad hoc systems reports
Ensure efficiency in responding to and fixing user problems.
General desktop support: Printing setups. Office and Application support
Creating users, resetting passwords, access levels, file interface validation, etc.) across all clients.
Remotely manage South African office IT operations and support end-users
Manage telecommunication (ISP, fixed line and mobile) services and track data roaming usage
Facilities: manage third party office maintenance
Team Resource mobilisation
Asset mobilisatiom

Networking and connecting computers within the same organisation to enhance communication
Provide networking and storage support.
Monthly Server maintenance
VOIP and Wi-Fi support and administration

Manage and oversee HR initiatives, including the recruitment, induction, development, and training of all staff according to business demands and relevant policies and procedures.
Motivate and give direction to all employees.
Ensure subordinates comply with IMS standards;
Ensure subordinates compliance with standards and resource controls
Team relationships and conflict resolution
Personal development and team development opportunities
Performance management through team supervision

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES & REQUIREMENTS

Working knowledge of desktop systems; Windows 10, Office 2016, Office 365,RDS Services and Citrix
Working knowledge of Microsoft server and services such as Active Directory, DNS and DHCP
Working knowledge of MS Azure, Azure Active Directory
Microsoft Server 2012, 2016 and 2022
Grade 12
Diploma/BTech/BSc/Qualification in Information Technology or any IT related tertiary qualification
International Certification a strong advantage (MCSE, A+, N+, CCNA, Security+, ITIL, Server+, Microsoft365, etc)
Vaild Drivers License
