IT Sales Rep with GSM experience

SUMMARY:
Our client based in Midrand is looking for a Sales Representative responsible for selling telecommunications products, including GSM, Fixed Data, APN’s, FFTH/FFTB, corporate Internet access, and VoIP solutions.

POSITION INFO:

Education & Experience

• Matric and Tertiary qualification
• Software or similar vendor application and/ hardware
• Sales Experience in selling telecommunications products, including GSM, Fixed Data, APN’s, FFTH/FFTB, corporate Internet access,  and VoIP
• Experience in Channel Management

Responsibilities:

• Maintain and grow sales relationships with existing clients;
• Develop, implement and report on marketing plans and sales strategies to achieve business goals;
• Assess market conditions and competitors’ activities and develop an awareness of emerging markets and trends;
• Develop sales presentations, proposals, or other materials to illustrate benefits from use of good or service;
• Estimate costs of installing and maintaining equipment or service;
• Write and submit accurate orders;
• Provide input into product design where goods or services must be tailored to suit clients’ needs;
• Consult with clients after sale to resolve problems and to provide ongoing support;
• Assess clients’ needs, recommend or assist in the selection of appropriate goods or services, and negotiate prices or other sales terms;
• Sell telecommunications products and services to both individuals and companies;
• Prepare and administer sales contracts and maintain customer records;
• Identify and solicit potential clients;
• Build market position by locating, developing, defining, negotiating, and closing business relationships;
• Maintain an updated database in sales database including all activities, partners, and opportunities with their current status.
