IT Programmer

Develop configuration with Power Vision or similar programs.

Write programs in a variety of computer languages, such as C++ and Angel Scripting, Power Vision Studio.

Update and expand existing programs.

Debug programs by fixing & testing for errors.

Confirm project requirements by reviewing program objectives, input data, and output requirements with analyst, supervisor, and client.

Troubleshoot programs and displays when required.

Write & test Murphy configurations.

Maintain historical records by documenting program development and revisions.

Maintain client confidence and protect operations by keeping information confidential.

Design safety systems and displays for customer machinery.

Perform on site tweaking to software.

Accurately ensure version control is instituted for updates / amendments to software for customers.

Ensure all configurations are backed up to main server weekly.

Design, development, and testing of hardware and software.

Design components & software based on technological specifications, intended use, and interaction with other computer components.

Suitable testing of all elements individually & in conjunction with other systems with analysis of data results to make necessary changes, to enhance performance & eliminate defects.

Maintain relevant documentation to reduce errors by providing a record of changes and fixes.

Proper integration of hardware components & units.

Testing and optimization of digital boards.

Modify software as required to fix errors, adjust it to new hardware, improve its performance, or upgrade interfaces.

Work with customers or departments on technical issues including software system design and maintenance. Facilitate root cause analysis of system issues.

Continuous review & improvement of computer systems & cloud based systems.

Completion of detailed specifications & writing of code.

Ensure systems are properly maintained once they are up and running so that system downtime is eliminated. 

Testing and evaluating new programs.

Deployment of software tools, processes and metrics, providing relevant training where necessary
