My client who is a leading IT infrastructure company is currently looking to hire an IT Operations Manager to join their team in Bryanston Sandton

JOB DESCRIPTION:

One of the primary responsibilities of the IT operations manager is monitoring an organization’s servers, networks, and computer systems for irregularities and performance issues. The IT operations manager assesses system data and error logs, along with user reports, to determine areas for improvement or repair. In this aspect of the role, an IT operations manager may also determine when systems or servers are due for upgrades, Develop Department Policies, Resolve Help Desk Escalations, Negotiate Vendor Contracts, Direct IT Engineers (Infrastructure) and Service Delivery Managers and Oversee Upgrades and Installations

Education:

Relevant IT Degree

Other Responsibilities:

Leading project planning sessions

Coordinating staff and internal resources

Managing project progress and adapt work as required

Ensuring projects meet deadlines

Managing relationships with clients and stakeholders

Designing and signing off on completed tasks / sub projects

Overseeing all incoming and outgoing project documentation

Participating in tender process i.e. design, submission and review

Designing risk mitigation plans / strategies

Conducting project review and creating detailed reports for executive staff

Optimizing and improving processes and the overall approach where necessary Securing growth opportunities and initiating new projects

Managing large and diverse teams
