POSITION INFO:

A manufacturing concern in Cape Town is looking for an IT Manager to develop, maintain, guide and implement the IT portfolio and strategy of the business. To deal with all aspects of the existing IT infrastructure within the company and develop this going forward.

Duties & Responsibilities

IT Operational Excellence
IT Financial Management
People Management

Desired Experience & Qualification

Minimum qualification: BTech/ B- Degree (NQF level 7) in Information Technology, computer science, software engineering, or related field.
Ideal qualification: B – Degree Honours (NQF Level 8) in Information Technology, computer science, software engineering, or related field.
At least 5 years’ working experience in IT operations.
Knowledge in multiple systems together with programming experience.

Experience:
• Broad general knowledge and awareness of the IT landscape.
• An IT specialist, but also have an understanding of commercial operations.
• Sound understanding of business processes and IT operations.
• Proven experience managing IT infrastructure and services.
• Experience with computer networks, network administration, and network installation.
• Proficient in computer hardware, cabling installation and support, wireless technology applications and interface, and IT security.
• Proficient in Microsoft Windows software, including Server, Office and Exchange, SQL databases and data warehouses
