SUMMARY:
Our client based in Edenvale has an opportunity available for an IT Manager (Generalist) to join their organisation and manage all IT functions for their branch.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Qualifications required:
  • Relevant degree / diploma
Skills and experience required: 
  • 3-5 years’ experience in an IT Manager role
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of industry-standard computer hardware and software systems
Job description:
  • Report to MD
  • Receive support from head office
  • Plan and oversee the installation and maintenance of computer systems, hardware, and networks
  • Assist all departments rectify any IT issues
  • Software and hardware updates
  • VPN access for remote workers
  • Network security
  • Manage projects to implement new systems and technologies
  • Perform ongoing support and maintenance of all hardware, software, and network components
  • Establish a security policy to protect company information and resources
  • Maintain an inventory of the organisations IT and their lifespans + plans for upgrades
