Our client in Kempton Park (Transport & Logistics), Jhb, has a 12 month Fixed Term Contract for an IT Integration Specialist (senior role).

Open to all South Africans with a SA ID (all ethnicities).

Role Description:
Integration specialist jointly responsible for the successful implementation of BluJay Parcel Platform across multiple South African business units that is scalable globally. This role assumes responsibility for all IT integrations into and out of BluJay TMS, including creating integration specifications and mappings between the TMS platform and the existing application landscape via a highly structured integration architecture to ensure a high degree of modularity with loose coupling and enterprise class fault tolerance. The Integration Specialist works closely with the Road IT Integration/Architecture manager, the BCM lead and the Product Configuration teams to ensure the defined business processes are supported and the business requirements are satisfied. Also works closely with the Global Integration team to ensure all software integrations are implemented utilizing a standard set of enterprise integration and data mapping tools and techniques. There will be a substantial amount of integration to the company systems such as SAP SD, SAP ERP, Document Management Systems, other TMS’s etc. There will also be a significant amount of integration to a variety of client IT systems.

Tertiary Qualification(s):
There are several educational backgrounds which could be ideal for the position. The following should represent the greater part of the selected candidates background:
- A Bachelor or Master degree in IT or Industrial Engineering.
- Certification in enterprise integration platforms (BizTalk, IBM MQ, Sterling Integrator etc.)
- Certifications in Agile, SCRUM and other development techniques
- An education or certification in ITIL would be a bonus.
- An education or certification in project management (Prince 2 or similar) would be preferable

Minimum Requirements
- 6+ years’ experience in the IT industry of which minimum 3 years in a Technical / Integration Specialist role.
- Experience with logistics related IT systems (BluJay or other Transport Management Systems)
- Demonstrable experience with project management and project management methodologies (Prince2 and Agile/SCRUM)
- Solid track record of implementations of integration projects.
- Knowledge and/or practical experience within the Transportation section is preferable

Key Responsibilities:
Development of integration specifications and mappings between the various systems in the IT landscape.
Close collaboration with all role-players in the programme to understand the broader environment and to ensure that the integrations fulfil the business requirements.
Work closely with BluJay integration specialists on the integration via standard DSV integration technology platforms, to internal DSV systems including the testing, baselining and technical implementation of these integration interfaces.
Responsible for the end-to-end integration between the TMS Platform and all other systems in the client application landscape via standard A2A integrations.
Responsible for all B2C API and EDI integration from and to the TMS.
Work closely with a variety of internal stakeholders across multiple DSV teams to ensure a successful implementation of the TMS.

These include:
The BCM team to verify and validate the business requirements and rules.
The BluJay product configuration team to verify and validate the implementation detail of the BluJay TMS.
The Global Integration organization for the technical implementation of all integration interfaces required by the project.
The appointed Project Manager and the PMO for the successful delivery of the project across systems and functional areas.
The Local IT Organizations in the various business units to ensure successful integration to business unit systems.

MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
The successful candidate will assume responsibility for all integrations and data flows inbound to and outbound from BluJay TMS and will be expected to acquire an intimate understanding of the end to end process and data flows, both inside the TMS platform and inbound from and outbound to all supporting IT systems from shipment origination through to T&T, Invoicing and document management.
The purpose of this role is to create integration specifications and mappings for all the integrations between the BluJay TMS and all external systems, e.g. SAP, bespoke regional systems, client systems, other TMS’s etc.
Additionally and equally important is to assist with debugging and identifying bottlenecks in the End to End processes and identifying solutions to solve identified integration performance/scalability issues.

ADDITIONAL JOB INFORMATION
The ideal candidate is a A2A and B2C systems integration specialist and has a solid track record with the implementation of “transport management systems” or similar IT applications. On top of that the candidate must have a drive that matches the culture of this company.

Well versed in hardware architecture, network design principles and IT security.
Strong IT infrastructure experience
Thinking both creatively and logically to resolve design and development problems
Ability to make decisions that produce high-quality results by applying technical knowledge, analyzing problems and calculating risks
Complex problem solving and critical thinking
Fluent in English, both oral and written
Strong proficiency in Change Management
Ability to comply with governance processes and structure
A very strong aptitude for detail and willingness to get involved in the detail when required
