IT Audit Assistant Manager

POSITION INFO:

Job & Company Description:

This company is a broad-based multinational media in Sub-Saharan Africa. This group has its main operations in pay television, video entertainment, advertising, and content security. 

This incumbent in this role will be responsible for managing IT Internal audit reviews in line with the company’s audit plan and must ensure it follows the standards and methodologies set by IAS.  The incumbent is responsible for analysing internal controls over the information systems and infrastructure, providing the necessary recommendations for improvements, and ensuring that all systems and internal control processes are competent enough to identify and mitigate risks.

 Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in IT/Information Systems or Computer Science
• Certification required (CISA)
• Certification advantageous (CRISC and CISSP)

Job Experience & Skills Required:

• 4 years’ experience in internal audit
• Additional 2 years’ experience in a supervisory role
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and TeamMate
• Excellent report writing skills

 Technical Competencies:

Understanding of core ITGC, Project Management, IT Risk Management, I&T Governance

 Job Responsibilities:

• Operational delivery by developing and maintaining an in-depth understanding of the various business and business models
• Managing relationships with key stakeholders
• Preforming adequate research for each area to be reviewed
• Guiding each tea, through allocated sections
• Execute all fieldwork necessary and provide clear understanding of all issues identified during engagement
• Manage deadlines and budget
• Identification of areas which need improvement
• Maintaining all IT Files in line with QAIP methodologies
