IT Administrator

SUMMARY:
A Freight Forwarding Company is seeking an IT Administrator to join their team

POSITION INFO:
Infrastructure

Contribute to the development of IT policies for infrastructure and equipment, aligned with IT strategy and policies and business needs, and execute, in order to ensure a reliable and secure IT infrastructure that supports all business needs.

Develop, optimize and distribute procedure manuals

Maintain IT hardware and network solutions

Contribute to the development of disaster recovery plans

 

System Solutions

Monitor servers and key applications, including backup and performance, in line with IT strategy and policies, in order to ensure a reliable data network to support the business.

Manage network security, backups, anti-virus and the telephone system and administering telephone users

Administer asset registration

Manage Printers and services

Monitor possible threats to Data centre stability and initiate follow-up

Provide support in the implementation of system solutions, execute maintenance

 

IT Support

Provide support to national organization on infrastructure and hardware, in line with IT policies processes and procedures and business needs in order to ensure sufficient support to internal customers

Support in defining SLA’s with internal customers and provide IT support in compliance

Prioritize and escalate issues based on business impact and service level agreements

 

Procurement

Manage contracts with suppliers for hardware, in line with the annual plan and budget and IT strategy, in order to ensure reliability in hardware supplies

Implement the procurement process for IT hardware

Develop and maintain a strategic supplier policy, implement and monitor compliance

Define SLA’s and KPI’s with suppliers and monitor performance against SLA’s and KPI’s, manage follow-up

 

Management Information

Administer information on Infrastructure performance, and report to National Business Excellence Manager, to ensure alignment as well as to ensure realization of the IT strategy.

Administer information on Infrastructure and Data centre stability

Monitor and administer compliance to infrastructure policies

Monitor and report state of hardware and workstations aging and relevant warrantee’s, and provide recommendations on renewal/replacement, etc. Monitor and administer compliance to infrastructure policies


Experience & Knowledge

Vocational work and thinking level, including analytical thinking

6 -10 years of experience (Tier 2 level) in complex IT environment including Enterprise Solutions knowledge - (Network security Experience will be an advantage)

In-depth experience and knowledge of systems work (Including Workstations, servers, printers, UPS’s, Web Monitoring tools)

In-depth knowledge of network infrastructure technologies (Including VoIP, O365 environment, infrastructure deployment, system integration)

MCSE (Minimum requirement)

Comptia A+, N+ and Security+ will be an advantage

Extensive knowledge on data protection policies
