ISO 9001 Compliance Officer and Internal Auditor

SUMMARY:
Westmead. Dynamic, growing business seeks competent ISO 9001 Compliance Officer and Internal Auditor with a minimum of 3 years experience as an ISO 9001 Officer and the ability to manipulate large amounts of data and to compile detailed reports.

POSITION INFO:

Take responsibility for ensuring the smooth running and maintenance of a comprehensive internal audit system in relation to the company’s certifications, as well as provide effective support on various operational matters and projects.

Responsibilities:

• Carrying out regular internal audits for ISO certifications (ISO 9001)
• Monitoring the audit cycle programme to ensure it remains effective and up to date
• Acting as an objective source of independent advice to ensure validity, legality, and goal achievement of the requirements of the certifications
• Producing and submitting a full audit report on each audit undertaken
• Producing audit summary reports for each audit undertaken
• Ensuring any non-conformities are listed on the appropriate non-conformities log and corrective actions are assigned to the appropriate party
• Ensuring all follow-up actions are listed on the appropriate action plan, and ‘Work in Progress’ comments is provided after an appropriate interval for each action until completion
• Conduct follow up audits / check to monitor non-conformities and ensure other actions are completed
• Engaging with continuous knowledge development regarding each certification’s requirements, recommended best practices, tools, techniques, and performance standards
• Recommending appropriate changes of the audit results to internal Management Systems for quality, environment, and information security where necessary
• Taking minutes and producing a report for the annual management review meetings for ISO certifications
• Conducting induction training to new joiners on ISO certifications
• Responsibility for recording and scoring responses to suppliers’ questionnaire

Requirements:

• +3 years’ experience as ISO 9001 Officer
• Experience conducting internal audits for ISO standards and experience of ISO 9001 standards preferable
• High attention to detail and excellent analytical skills
• Project co-ordination or assistance experience
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
• Ability to multi-task, use initiative, and to work well under pressure / to deadlines
• Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
