POSITION INFO:

INVESTMENT ANALYST 

Our client in the Belville area is looking for a Fund Research Analyst to join our team in South Africa. The ideal candidate should have at least 5 years of experience in multi-manager portfolios and be responsible for co-managing various multi-manager portfolios spanning across both retail and institutional ranges.

The successful candidate should possess in-depth knowledge of various factors and processes that contribute to the management of the portfolios and asset allocation. The Fund Research Analyst should have a solid understanding of portfolio management principles, as well as the ability to identify and analyse potential investments.

Responsibilities: 

• Research and analyse existing and potential investments and investments opportunities.

• Monitor and report on performance of multi-manager portfolios.

• Develop and manage asset allocation models.

• Develop and maintain portfolio risk management systems.

• Analyse and assess the economic environment and its impact on the portfolio.

• Monitor the investment performance of the portfolios.

• Prepare detailed reports on portfolio performance and recommendations for changes.

• Develop and implement strategies for the portfolio.

Qualifications:

-        bachelor’s degree in finance, Economics, Accounting, Business, or a related field, plus a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) or Chartered Investment Performance Measurement (CIPM) certification

Software:

-        MS Excel – Advanced (VBA programming would be an advantage)

-        Morningstar Direct

-        MS Powerpoint – Advanced

SALARY: R35 000- R45 000 per month
