INVENTORY COST ACCOUNTANT PASTEL EVOLUTION

Paarl Salary R18 000 – R26 000

Meat Production who produce a range of flavourful, high quality cold meats, patties and sausages and distributed to their 16 stores and other retailers seeks an Inventory Cost Accountant.

Must have experience of at least 3 years and tertiary education, finance diploma. Own transport, reside in Paarl and surrounds.

You will work on PASTEL EVOLUTION and ODESSEY

Job description

Ensuring that all internal inventory controls are maintained and implemented to ensure that the quantity and costing of the inventory is accurate, and that inventory is not misstated.
Responsible for warehouse maintenance on pastel Evolution.
Responsible for imputing of the weekly warehouse stock take, drawing the inventory reports and analysing the variances. Reconciling the stock take on hand to the stock per the general ledger account.
Ensure that stock takes are performed at all the DC Meat Stores. Capture the data and calculate the gross profit achieved at all DC Meat Stores.
Responsible for managing the minimum stock levels and ensuring that stock is ordered on time at the right price. Perform Product costing and costing analysis.
Control stock wastage/theft. Ensure that stock shortages are investigated and reported on.
Be able to negotiate discounts with suppliers
Ensure that the inventory costing relating to imported products and local products are accurate and the inventory is priced accordingly.
Ensuring that the bills of material are accurate and the cost of inventory is priced correctly.
Sound knowledge of pastel evolution and excel
