INVENTORY CONTROLLER

SUMMARY:
Our client is looking for an Inventory Controller to be based in Witbank. The incumbent will be responsible for plans and/or controls inventory of finished goods, material and/or equipment for stock rooms within a production / manufacturing facility environment.

POSITION INFO:

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Ensure that inventory is controlled to meet the business financial and delivery expectations.
• Stock code alignment and description adjustments.
• Investigate the nature of stock items or equipment and group/consolidate.
• Identification and management of SLOB.
• Optimising of strategic stock levels.
• Daily monitoring and management of replenishment levels and movements.
• Management of minimums and maximums to optimal levels.  Investigate and establish standard lead times for stock items and document in reporting.
• Inventory reporting and metric formulation and feedback to management.
• Establishing alignment with Procurement for sourcing requirements.

Requirements:

• Relevant Qualification in Logistics and Warehousing/Inventory management.  Minimum 1 – 3 Years’ experience in Inventory Control.
• Experience on metric report formulation.
• Knowledge of manufacturing or supply lead times.
• Technical knowledge of mechanical and / electrical equipment would be beneficial
