JOB DESCRIPTION:
To support the Internationalisation and Partnerships Strategy, the University of Fort Hare seeks to appoint a dynamic, decisive, and knowledgeable person for the position of Internationalisation Officer-Compliance.
Reporting directly to the Manager: International Office, the incumbent will be responsible for coordinating and executing smooth administration & for monitoring compliance with legislation and rules.
KEY PERFORMANCE AREA
Internationalisation Compliance Coordination
- Provide immigration advice and support to international students, researchers and staff
- Monitor and ensure compliance with legislation, policies, and institutional rules governing internationalisation.
- Liaise with consulates, internal departments, and external stakeholders.
- Draft study permit letters, compliance reports, and update relevant media and websites.
- Track and report on compliance indicators internally and externally in line with regulations and rules.
- Resolve queries and escalate non-compliance issues as needed.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: - Honours Degree in Administration/Humanities/Human Resources Administration
- Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in internationalisation within a higher education context.
- Sound Knowledge of national Legislation for International Students and Foreign Staff.
