SUMMARY:
Fantastic job opportunity for an IMPORT / EXPORT CONTROLLER for a well established, stable, international company in Germiston.

POSITION INFO:

CRITICAL SUCCESS OBJECTIVES:

To plan freight movement of imported and exported cargo. (air and sea freight)
To coordinate the freight movement of imports and exports including customs clearance.
To cost freight movements and prepare estimates.
Process administration relating to all imports/export files.
To liaise with and instruct relevant freight forwarders and transporters.
To produce various reports and provide a clear dashboard to Operations of inbound/outbound schedules.
Comply with all legal, quality requirements.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

5 years’ experience in Sea/Airfreight controlling capacity.

Familiar with Customs documentation.

Qualifications:

Matric
Planning skills, Strong attention to detail
Adaptable, Excellent communication skills
Specialist knowledge of freight forwarding & clearing documents, procedures and practices
Computer literacy, Navision a bonus
