POSITION INFO:

ICT Security Officer, Centurion, 36 months Contract, R39k ctc per month

Our client is a public entity based at Centurion. They seek the services of the ICT Security Officer on a 36 month Fixed-Term-Contract.

Responsibilities:

• Generally, implementation of appropriate and best practice ICT security technologies which includes and not limited to the following: Identity and access management, Encryption and key management, End Point Protection, Threat & Vulnerability Management including Security information and event management(SIEM)
• Set up security measures that help prevent security breaches, as well as analyzing any breeches that do occur
• Conducts investigation, analysis and review following breaches of security controls, and prepares recommendations and appropriate improvements
• Monitoring network activity to identify vulnerable points
• Analyze existing security systems and make recommendations for changes or improvements
• Prepare reports and action plans in the event that a security breech does occur
• Provide system updates and write code fixes
• Educate workers about computer security and promote security awareness and security protocols
• Ensure security is embedded in IT System and Network Infrastructure (Mobile, IS and Enterprise) across organization
• Knowledge of patch management, firewalls and intrusion detection/prevention systems (e.g. SCCM)

Desired Qualifications

• A bachelo’r degree in IT
• Certification in ICT/Information or cyber security (Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) / Certified Information Security Manager (CISM)./ CRISC / Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP) or

Minimum Experience:

Minimum 5 years’ experience in ICT security

Remuneration:

R39 000 per month, total cost to company
