Hydraulic Technician

SUMMARY:
Our client based in Port Elizabeth - Eastern Cape is looking for an experienced Hydraulic Technician to start as soon as possible

POSITION INFO:
Only Candidates that meet the following criteria will be considered:

Qualifications and experience:

• Recognised and relevant trade certificate
• Valid Code EB (8) driver’s licence
• Experience in servicing and testing of sophisticated hydraulic systems in the field and in the workshop
• 8 – 10 years’ experience in a similar position
• A strong technical background with good knowledge of hydraulics, circuitry, components, cylinders and quality standards
• Able to identify system problems and sell solutions
• Customer driven, passionate about servicing customer needs
• Self-motivated with a positive attitude and work ethics
• Good record keeping
• Maintain a safe working environment
• Able to work away from home and willing to travel

Key performance areas and requirements include:

• Stripping and reporting on the wear and tear of hydraulic equipment
• Inspection and assembly of hydraulic pumps and motors to manufacturer’s standards
• Inspection and assembly of gearboxes to manufacturer’s standards
• Testing in accordance to specifications
• Respond to service calls and repairs on site
