Hybrid Cad/Technical Salesperson

POSITION INFO:

Manufacturer, supplying a full range of Hardware to international markets for use on Steel, Timber, Aluminium, and Glass doors and windows. 

We are seeking a Technical person to handle all drawing and design aspects internally for Cape Town, Port Elizabeth, and George as well as be technical sales backup and project sales lead.  

Technical Sales

• Handle customers technical sales queries
• Quote technical jobs  (Doors/window)
• Quote back up for the office and sales reps

Project Management

• Management project leads generated from a sales portal
• Attend to architect, QS and Developer enquiries
• Meet with architects, designers, and engineers to discuss design ideas
• Follow and action relevant projects off the portal and liaise action plan with management
• Highlight awarded projects to the sales team for actioning and follow up on action dates

AutoCAD Drafter Responsibilities:

• Present rough design drafts for client approval
• Ensure product designs meet required safety and structural standards
• Blend technique and aesthetics to create final designs
• Present various design perspectives for construction improvements and adaptations
• Finalise AutoCAD models
• Present models to clients
• Complete job reports (Pictures, etc)
• Create Production drawings for manufacturing

AutoCAD Drafter Requirements:

• Previous work experience as an AutoCAD Drafter (min 2 years’ Experience)
• Advanced knowledge of CAD and AutoCAD software or relevant qualification in draughting(N4/N5)
• Excellent technical design skills
• Good communication skills
• A keen eye for aesthetics and detail
• Ability to project manage
