SUMMARY:
Rustenburg. Dynamic, growing company within the Construction sector seeks well-experienced Human Resources Manager with a relevant Bachelors qualification and a minimum of 5 years’ experience in an HR function. Experience within the built environment / construction sector is preferred.

POSITION INFO:

Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Human Resources planning
  • Design, implement, and maintain a suitable Human Resources operational model to support the business in achieving the strategic objectives
  • Identifying support resources and structures such as Human Resources, Finance, Marketing, Sales, etc.
  • Ensure data integrity in Human Resource systems linking the various Human Resources processes and systems to ensure that the company talent is identified, attracted, developed, remunerated, and retained in the interest of growing value and improving organizational performance
  • Draft Human Resources strategy
  • Setting of company Policies and Procedures
  • Drafting the Workplace Skills Plan for the company
  • Drafting of employment contracts and performance agreement for all employees
  • Work with company CEO and / or COO to strategically plan Human Resource initiatives that will benefit the company and encourage more efficient and beneficial work from employees
  • Direct all hiring and training procedures for new employees
  • Implement, administer, and/or change benefits, health plans, retirement plans, etc.
  • Monitor employee progress and stay abreast on company climate and culture ensuring it stays positive and productive
  • Coordinate and direct work activities for managers and employees
  • Foster cross-functional relationships and ensure managers and employees are properly connected
  • Regularly meet with employees for progress reviews and assessments, discussing any problems or grievances they may have
  • Promote a positive and open work environment where employees feel comfortable speaking up about issues
  • Manage and supervise other HR staff ensuring they are assigned and carry out proper tasks
  • Ensure adequate preparation and resourcing of projects in order for sites to meet the committed project timeframes

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in setting up systems, policies, and processes
  • Experience on Pastel
  • Driver’s license essential
