Human Resources Assistant - Shafts

SUMMARY:
Our client in the Mining Industry has an opportunity available for a Human Resources Assistant for the Shaft Division in the Burgersfort, Limpopo area.

POSITION INFO:
Education and Experience Requirements:

• Grade 12 (NQF Level 4) certificate is essential
• Studying towards a Human Resources Diploma / Degree or related qualification (NQF 6)
• Minimum of 2 years’ Shaft HR experience on a conventional mine is essential
• Knowledge of HR procedures, labour and other related statutes
• Knowledge of internal union processes and structures
• Computer literacy (MS Office packages, SAP ERP and SACO ) is essential
• Valid Medical certificate or medically fit to obtain such a certificate
  

• Providing administrative support pertaining various HR related functions (e.g. Recruitment, Pay & Personnel Administration, Long service awards, Incapacitation, ER) in line with set policies and procedures
• Compiling daily, weekly and monthly HR Reports to assist management make informed decisions (i.e. absenteeism, leave, sick, training)
• Facilitating and act as an interpreter during Disciplinary Hearings
• Ensuring compliance to legal requirements (i.e. ensuring that employees have valid red tickets, training plotters, first aid) and facilitating the induction process of employees
• Scrutinising all medical certificates and verify with the Council of Medical Practitioners to ensure validity
• Facilitating and ensure hearing loss counselling sessions are conducted
• Ensuring availability of relevant records/documents as per personnel file checklist
