Helpdesk Technician

SUMMARY:
Must have 3-4 year experience and MCSE or Azure Cloud qualification

POSITION INFO:

Experience:

• At least 3 to 4 years experience as a technical staff member in the IT industry. 
• Must have worked on Windows,  Servers,  workstations, switches, routers etc.
• Clear English spoken language, ability to communicate with people / clients,  fault find and explain how the problem will be resolved technically.
• Must have own transport.

Qualification:

• Matric,
• MCSE or
• Azure Cloud qualification

Duties:

• Respond to Helpdesk calls which are allocated to technicians.
• Ensure clients are contacted promptly.
• Update worklog within Helpdesk tickets as soon as call has been attended to.
• All tickets allocated per technician to be closed by close of business every day unless the task has not been completed.
• Client feedback on status of work carried out imperative at all times.
• Always ask team members to assist when a task becomes problematic.
• Ensure clients are addressed in a polite manner and personal appearance is neat and tidy at all times.
• Source pricing on client requests whenever necessary.
• Ensure that job cards are completed accurately and forwarded on to Accounts Department for processing whenever a client does not have a SLA. 
• Collect and deliver stock whenever required by M.D.
• Do repairs / installation whenever required.
• Attend site surveys when instructed.
• Liaise with clients with regard to technical queries whenever necessary.
• Be available to work on-site (at client) whenever required.
• Travel whenever needed to client site.
• Be available to work out of town when required.
