SUMMARY:
An excellent opportunity exists, on a fixed term contract basis, for Heavy Duty Vehicle Drivers, one to be based in Richards Bay and the other in the Jozini area. The primary purpose of this position will be to drive and operate Water Tankers to and from various locations based on demand for emergency water supply from the communities.
POSITION INFO:
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:
- Carry out daily inspections before operating the vehicle;
- Transport water across area of business operations;
- Supervise and records the loading and off-loading of water at designated areas;
- Ensure the vehicle is serviced at regular intervals;
- Cleans the vehicle and ensures hygiene is maintained at all times;
- Report any defects on the vehicle to his superior;
- Ensure safekeeping of the vehicle at all times.
- Be able to carry out any other driving of heavy duty vehicle as and when required.
REQUIREMENTS:- A minimum of a Matric plus a Valid Code 14 drivers licence
- A minimum of three years’ experience in a similar position, driving and operating a Heavy Duty Vehicle in an industrial environment.
- The incumbent must be physically fit, and prepared to work in uncomfortable conditions and be willing to drive distances on a daily basis
- The successful incumbent for the position must be prepared to travel to outlying areas as and when required and be willing to work overtime as and when required.
