SUMMARY:
Our client in the Southern Suburbs of Cape Town has a vacancy  for a Healthcare Sales Consultant in the team. The team provides medical aid advice, support and claim management services to ensure that clients get the most from their medical aid. As a Healthcare Sales Consultant you will be required to advise and assist the client in making informed, innovate decisions with regard to healthcare choices; by providing advice on finding the most appropriate and cost-effective health solution based on the clients individual needs.

Job Description and duties:
The duties for which you will be responsible in terms of this contract are briefly listed below and will be subject to amendment from time to time as required based on
discussions with your manager:

• Service delivery and liaison with clients mainly telephonically and via email
• Liaison with medical schemes on benefits, options, application processing
• Effective coordination to ensure the timeously processing of new sales
• Lead handling by engaging with clients and assessing clients individual needs
• Compiling of comparative medical aid quotations based on Needs Analysis done
• Recommendations and guidance on best suited option for clients’ needs
• Retention activities
• Assistance with adding/removal of dependents and registration of newborn on existing membership
• Advice and guidance on option changes on existing and new clients
• Following all required processes for effective leads handling
• Adhere to all compliance standards and FAIS requirements

• National Senior Certificate or equivalent
• Knowledge and experience of the above mentioned functions
• Experience in a call centre or client service environment
• CMS accredited will be to your advantage
• Industry related additional qualifications will be to your advantage
• At least 2 years’ working experience in medical scheme industry is essential with experience across many brands

• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to apply administration principals and work with detail and a high level of accuracy
• Sales and Client Service driven
• Discipline with doing follow ups and reminders
• Strong analytical and listening skills
• Team player
• Ability to work well under pressure
• Relationship management skills
• Adaptable
