SUMMARY:
Calling all Health and Safety and Environmental Managers

POSITION INFO:

My Client, a leading and well known manufacturing company based in Boksburg requires the services of a competent and experience Health, Safety and Environmental Manager.

Responsibilities:

Implementation of Safety Health and Environmental (SHE) policies, programmes and management plans to ensure the company''''''''''''''''s meets applicable legal requirements, reduce workplace incidents and SHE exposures
Implementation of the SHEQ management system (ISO14001 & ISO 45001) to ensure adherence to our SHEQ Policy and maintain/retains ISO certification
Ensure the company has all relevant Licenses, Permits & Authorizations and comply with the conditions thereof
Coordinating all aspects of pollution control, waste management, recycling, environmental health, and renewable energy
Implement incident management system
Ensure effective staff performance management
Compile and manage operational & capital budgets to meet business objectives
To oversee and support the Boksburg branch as well on a 70/30 split between Potch/Boksburg in terms of time allocation

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Environmental management or Safety Management qualification
5-10 years relevant experience in the management of safety, health, quality and environmental management
A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in staff management, performance management and leadership
Previous experience in manufacturing environment will be advantageous
Incident Investigation course
SAMTRAC (desirable)
ISO 14001 & ISO 45001 Implementation/Auditor course
An in-depth understanding and working knowledge of safety, health & environmental legislation, in particular the OHS Act, National Environmental Management Act and related Regulations
Experience in the development and roll out of behavior based safety programs.
Experience in implementation of ISO systems (ISO 14000, ISO45001)
