SUMMARY:
A leading and well-established chemical manufacturing factory in Kempton Park has a vacancy for a suitably qualified Health Governance Risk and Compliance Practitioner.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Purpose of the job

To support the business in sustaining Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality standards through regular monitoring, evaluation, reporting and continuous improvement of the GRC Management System in line with legal, regulatory, and business requirements. The abovementioned activities shall be conducted in compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act, No. 85 of 1993 and all relevant policies and procedures.

Experience

• 3-5 years in implementing and maintaining ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015 & ISO 45001:2018 systems experience in a Chemical or similar Manufacturing Environment

• Minimum 3 years Chemical or similar Manufacturing Environment

Qualifications:

• Matric with Science and Mathematics

• Bachelor of Technology/Diploma/Degree in Health & Safety or Environmental or Quality Management

• Certified Lead Auditor in ISO 9001/14001/45001 (Ideal)

• SAMTRAC or equivalent occupational SHE training (Ideal)

• Driver’s License

• Have basic competencies in legal liability with extensive experience in certification requirements as per ISO/IEC 17021-1:2019.

• Certified in Auditing Management System Standards as a Lead/Internal Auditor - ISO 5001:2018, ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 9001:2015, ISO 17020

• Legal liability & compliance– Occupational Health and Safety

• Environmental Legislation

• GHS/ Dangerous goods

Technical Competencies

• Knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety legislation and applicable standards & codes

• Knowledge of Environmental legislation and applicable standards & codes

• Knowledge of ISO 17020:2012, NSF 60, ISO 14001:2015 & ISO 9001:2015, ISO 45001:2018

• Knowledge of Responsible Care Standards

• Knowledge of Process Safety Management (PSM)

• Knowledge of Root Cause Investigations (RCI)

• Knowledge of Operational Risk Management

• Knowledge of Compliance within a chemical, manufacturing environment

• Computer literacy in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint)

• Prioritising

• Monitoring and Evaluation

• Reporting

• Stakeholder Relationship Management

• Coordinating

• Use of Digilex

• Internal auditing

• Understanding of SANS 17021:2019

• Understanding of ISO 19011:2019

• Competent in auditing ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, ISO 45001:2018, ISO 17020 management systems.

• Competent in auditing NSF 60 Standard.

• Business Process mapping

Personal Circumstances:

• Must be able to obtain a satisfactory medical report from the companies’ medical centre

Other details

Salary: R500K basic annual salary, highly negotiable depending on experience.
