SUMMARY:
Champion and lead health and safety within the organisation ensuring compliance to the Occupational Health and Safety Act.

POSITION INFO:

Qualifications, Experience and Skills:

Matric
Relevant degree/diploma in Environmental Health or Occupational Health and Safety
NEBOSH highly advantageous
Min 3 years’ experience in a similar role
Manufacturing sector experience essential
High level of computer skills
Self-starter
Assertive
Strong communication skills
Attention to detail
Excellent Administrative and reporting skills

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:

Development and implementation of Health and Safety policies and procedures that are aligned to the OHSA
Facilitate and chair Health and Safety meetings on a quarterly basis
Conduct internal health and safety audits as and when required ensuring that the Company complies with all safety standards and address any non-compliances found
Conduct health and safety inductions for all stakeholders
Ensure that all IOD related incidents are investigated, documented and reported to the relevant bodies timeously
Responsible for all Health and Safety Administration
