SUMMARY:
Somerset West - A specialist supplier and retailer is seeking a detail orientated Bookkeeper to join their team from 08:00am - 14:00pm, Monday - Friday.
As a Bookkeeper, you will be responsible for maintaining financial records, handling accounts payable and receivable, and ensuring accuracy in financial transactions. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, be proficient in SAGE and have excellent organizational skills.
POSITION INFO:
Responsibilities Include but not limited too:
- Organisational skills - Managing multiple complex companies and record the bookkeeping
- Recording transactions accurately
- Maintaining accurate, up to date financial records by recording day to day transactions
- Reconciling all bank statements
- Managing accounts payable (Capturing all invoices and purchase orders - imports and exports)
- Managing accounts receivable (Sending out payments receipts, statements, invoices and follow up on payments when necessary)
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations
- Assist in preparing monthly financial reports
- Providing essential data for tax filing
- Journals
- Petty cash
- Any ad hoc requirements and will changes from time to time
- Keeping the filing up to date
Requirements / Characteristics required:
- Technological proficiency (Especially on Excel and Zoho)
