HVAC / Building Services Technician – Netherlands
POSITION INFO:
Our client is seeking an experienced HVAC / Service Technician to join their dynamic team in the Netherlands. This is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on professional who thrives on challenges and wants to make an impact across diverse commercial and residential projects.
About the Role:
As a Service Technician, the successful candidate will ensure advanced heating and cooling systems operate efficiently. Responsibilities include maintaining, servicing, and repairing boilers, heat pumps, chillers, and large-scale HVAC installations. The role also involves responding to urgent breakdowns to ensure uninterrupted operation for clients’ buildings, which range from hospitals and office buildings to shopping centres.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and resolve faults on cooling, heating, and HVAC systems.
- Perform repairs on boilers, pumps, chillers, heat pumps, and related mechanical installations.
- Conduct preventive and scheduled maintenance to ensure system reliability and efficiency.
- Provide on-site expertise and solutions during urgent breakdowns.
Requirements:- NQF Level 4–5 qualification in mechanical and/or refrigeration technology (or equivalent).
- Completed Red Seal trade qualification.
- Minimum of 4 years’ relevant experience in a similar role, preferably within large residential or commercial buildings.
- Proven experience with cooling and heating systems, including boilers and HVAC installations (air and water systems, pumps, chillers).
- Knowledge of f-gases and compliance with safety regulations.
- Strong background in mechanical maintenance and building-related installations.
- Additional technical training in HVAC, refrigeration, or boiler systems is an advantage.
- Willingness to participate in standby/on-call duties approximately every 6–7 weeks.
- Valid South African driver’s license.
- Proficiency in Afrikaans.
