POSITION INFO:
The successful candidate must have the ability to perform skilled tasks within the field of power reticulation in order to comply with legislation, maintain serviceability, reliability, plant integrity and safety of all personnel and equipment under their area of control and provide specialized service to all departments.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Relevant N3 Certificate or recognized equivalent in Electrical Engineering.
Must have 5 Years post apprenticeship relevant electrical plant or industry experience with minimum 3 years specific MV experience.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintaining an effective installation, maintenance and control system for all section equipment.
Administration.
Maintain safety and quality standards.
Perform mentorship role in a team environment.
SKILLS:
- Trade tested Installation Electrician in terms of SANS 10142-1 certification.
- EThekwini Municipality M.V. competence for industries or equivalent plus 3 year M.V. switching experience.
- Computer knowledge M.S Office suite, SAP, Windows.
- Code 8 drivers licence.
- Good communication skills.
- Team player.
- Able to work under pressure.
- Self-starter.
- Innovative.
- Good fault finding technique.
- Effective decision making.
