JOB DESCRIPTION:

Recruitment and selection – coordinate recruitment activities

    1. Receive Employee request form from Ops and check if the position is on organogram and form is signed by 2/1
    2. Advertise, internally and externally (recruitment agents, job portal and website)
    3. Log applications on recruitment register and send applications to line managers
    4. Prepare interview guide (if new role) or update when necessary
    5. Set up interviews (make sure of venue)
    6. Manage all communication with agencies regarding positions/candidates etc.
    7. Arrange flights and car if necessary for candidates outside of the Western Cape
    8. Give feedback to agent / candidate after interview
    9. If candidate is being considered for screening
      1. Start screening process (can take up to 3 weeks)
      2. Send Declaration of Private Interest and Oath of secrecy to candidate
      3. Do two references
      4. If appointed obtain Remchannel report
      5. Prepare contract and get it signed (check DOA)
      6. Send signed offer to candidate or agency
      7. If accepted, inform ET and new employee line manager
      8. Update organogram
      9. Send info to payroll
      10. Speak to line manager about a desk for employee
      11. Do on-boarding form on M-files for IT
      12. Set up induction for new employee
      13. Send documents to be completed to employee to process medical aid and retirement annuity
      14. Prepare welcome pack for the employees first day (all benefit docs

Minimum Requirements:

  • Matric and a Diploma or tertiary qualification in Human Resources or equivalent
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in an similar role and recruitment
  • Knowledge of current SA Employment Legislation
  • Above average computer skills (Microsoft Excel; Word, Power Point)
  • Above average communication skills both written and verbal
  • Excellent organisational and planning skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to be confidential at all times
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle high volumes of work
  • Customer orientated
  • Working Knowledge of PMFA would be advantageous
