SUMMARY:
HR/Payroll Clerk

POSITION INFO:

My client has a big footprint national/international and requires an applicant with experience and attention to detail.
Requirements:
• Gr 12 completed.
• Own Transport/valid driver’s license required
• PC literate with Sage /Pastel Accounting required
• Qualification in relevant HR/payroll a benefit
• + 3 years working exp in below duties:
• Responsible for the preparation and processing of payrolls on SAGE Pastel payroll system, which includes the entire cycle of payroll processing from capturing of new employees, leave and terminations.
• Review and ensure accuracy of approved overtime
• Maintain employee records;
• ensure that employee changes are entered correctly
• made on a timely basis
• review changes for proper authorization
• Maintain a proper document control system
• Keep abreast with company policies and tax legislations that impact on remuneration
• Prepare month-end reporting via Payroll and Excel (overtime, leave balances)
• Control of employee leave days
• Generating reports for payments
• PAYE returns
• Garnishee payments
• Union payments
• MEIBC payments
• Bi-annual and Annual tax submissions via easyfile
• Maintaining of UIF submission (UI-19 and salary schedules)
• Handle the administration of the Biometric system – enrolling new employees, terminating old employees, and ensuring logs are checked daily
• Ensure that all new and contract employees have an employment contract (Permanent, Fixed term or Limited duration contract)
• Communicate all employee and payroll changes to the Financial Manager on time
• HR Function as and when required
• Liaise with the foreman’s about any employee, leave, and overtime queries
• Liaise with the Technical Manager about overtime, new employees wage and wage increases
• Maintain the EE report as required by our Skill Facilitator
• General Admin
• Maintain a register with regards to the training and certificates that are due to expire – ensure training and equipment inspection is done before the due date
• Any other duties and responsibilities as they may arise from time to time which will necessitate your attention or as may be communicated to you by the Financial Manager
• Health & Safety Administration
• Procurement of all PPE
• Insurance Claims Administration
• Any other duties as required by Management from time to time
