General Responsibility

 

The HR Business Partner (HRBP) is responsible for aligning company & business process objectives with employees and management in the business units.

As a consultant, The HRBP is an administrative expert who provides advisory services to business leadership on human resources-related issues. He/she will also act as an employee champion and change agent.

The HRBP proactively assesses and anticipates HR-related needs, Site Initiatives, RNR plan. Establishes a healthy communication within the HR department and business leadership, the business partner seeks to develop integrated solutions to business process problems and create positive impact. He/she will also perform a wide range of HR activities including but not limited to labor & employee relations management, talent management, compensation & benefits administration, workforce planning/talent acquisition, organizational design, and performance management.

The HRBP will be driving cross-functional initiatives that involve stakeholders across the organization and is expected to play a key role in benchmarking best practices and leveraging relationships.

The HRBP maintains an effective level of business literacy about the business process’s operations, financial position, business agenda/goals, its culture and its competition.

 

Specific Job Scope & Responsibility

 

A. The Human Resources Business Partner – Executive covers a multi-faceted HR delivery to support Business Process, its leadership and employees. He/She is empowered to recommend and coordinate on specific low-to-medium HR/Site Initiative-related matters affecting overall general employee experience and business process. Specific to site deployment, the HRBP shall execute HR strategies respective of the business goals of each vertical/process, and satisfactorily manage four (4) key functional areas:

 

1. Data and Information Management

 

a. Files Management (Active, Separated, Database/Tracker, Shared)

b. Audit Compliance

c. Regular & Special HR Reports Relevant to Strategizing & Decision Making

d. Employee Movement within the Process/Company

e. Trigger for Separation, Salary Hold, Access Disability, etc.

f. Site Initiatives/RNR Plans

 

2. Employee Service & Benefits

 

a. Government Mandatory

b. Company Initiated

c. General Administrative Services

 

3. Labour & Employee Relations

 

a. Company & Legal Policies and Standards Compliance

i. Employee Grievance & Ethics Hotline, Progressive Disciplinary & Labor Cases

ii. Policy Management (Preparing, Updating, Recommending)

iii. Exit Management

b. Government Liaison

i. Company Representation

c. Employee Engagement

i. Engagement Activities

ii. Interest Groups

iii. Engagement Climate Check/E-Sat

iv. Knowledge Sharing & Roadshows

d. Attrition Management

e. Occupational Safety & Health

 

4. Talent Acquisition (As Support)

a. Manpower Planning & Control

b. Profile Review

B. The HR Business Partner shall contribute and support the Site HR Manager in organization transformational activities, such as but are not limited to:

C. Other tasks as assigned by the HR Manager – Site and/or HR Head – South Africa from time to time.
