HR Officer (MEIBC/MIBFA/COIDA)

SUMMARY:
The HR Officer provides support to the HR Manager in the areas of general office and administration support to the HR department and dealing with HR related queries relating to MEIBC/MIBFA

POSITION INFO:

HR Officer (MEIBC/MIBFA Experience Non-Negotiable)

Based in Isando

Salary R 30000 basic + benefits

Must have experience dealing with MEIBC/MIBFA +- 2000 staff

Advise wage administrators on legal/industrial requirements relating to hourly paid MEIBC staff

Provide advice in the implementation and administration of employment benefits eg. Provident Fund. Medical Aid etc.

Experience with IOD / COIDA procedures and claims

Death benefit and claims for employees

Administer Termination documents eg. UI19’s, salary schedules, Certificates of Service, Audits of Termination Documents / Labour and HR Audits from the Dept of Labour AND Bargaining Council

The HR Officer should have minimum a three-year degree / diploma from an accredited institution (relevant to Human Resources).

South African Labour and Employment Law background and knowledge is essential

Strong experience in all MEIBC related administrative functions from (COIDA, IOD, Claims etc)

Must be able to travel to sites (own car)

Knowledge of Labour law, SA legislation and Acts non-negotiable, inclusive of employment contracts

Knowledge of collective and labour agreements, salary benchmarking and grading systems (Peromnes / Hay)
