SUMMARY:
Our client, a well-established company within the marketing sector, is looking for an experienced Human Resources Manager to join their team.

POSITION INFO:

Job Description:

The overall purpose of this position will be to develop/manage and maintain an effective Human Resources support function for the business.  The position focuses on creating and implementing both local and Global HR strategies and initiatives that are aligned with the overall business strategy.  This role focuses on talent retention, development and recruiting and ensures compliance to South African Labour legislation and recommendation.  This position will also be responsible for the Payroll Management.

 

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Recruitment and selection of internal and external talent
  • Retention of internal talent and onboarding of external talent
  • Overseeing the full recruitment process for internal and external talent
  • Benchmarking of positions where needed in the recruitment process
  • Employee Relations (including management of CCMA cases, involvement in all sanction meetings, dismissals and retrenchments when necessary)
  • Organise, direct and concluded all formal disciplinary actions
  • Assist with Section 197 acquisitions where necessary
  • Payroll Management
  • Cost Management and Budgets
  • Employment Equity and Skills Development Plans
  • COVID19 related matters
  • Employee Wellness

 

Educational requirements:

  • Grade 12
  • Degree in Human Resources non negotiable
  • Honours Degree in Industrial Psychology an added advantage

Experience and skills required:

  • HR exposure in a manufacturing environment (blue collar)
  • Reporting exposure in a multi-national corporation
  • Minimum 8 years’ experience within a Management position
  • Five years’ experience in payroll management
  • Experience in benchmarking and salary structuring
  • Experience in CCMA cases and Disciplinary Procedures
  • Must be able to work under pressure
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to delegate and resolve conflict
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Adaptable and professional
