SUMMARY:
HR Lead

POSITION INFO:

Main purpose of role

To develop and drive the overall HR Strategy to enable and support the  Business in partnership with the Leadership team. To effectively partner with business stakeholders to enable the implementation of strategy and delivery of commercial results through its Human capital. Main responsibilities

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Driving and implementing strategic HR initiatives.

• Develop and/or review and implement HR policies in line with HR best practice and changing legislation.

• Provide support to leadership team and line managers through in depth understanding of all policies, procedures, labour legislation and related processes.

• Oversee and provide leadership in terms of effective management of the HR function.

• Owner of all HR administrative processes and systems (including payroll, benefits, record keeping) - ensure that all HR information is accurate and appropriate confidentiality is maintained.

• Develop and lead the organisation transformation goals ie BBBEE and EE in line with business strategic plan.

• Influence management decisions through interpreting and analysing relevant HR data metrics

• Act as custodian to develop and drive a high performance culture and further address nonperformance, in addition to managing the process.

• Oversee the full Talent Management cycle from acquisition, talent development & succession planning to ensure the organisation remains agile and flexible to deliver on business objectives.

• Ensure all relevant HR controls and processes are delivered to proactively manage any risk to the organisation.

• Provide a sound IR climate and maintain effective stakeholder engagement with Management, employees and Union representatives.

• Act as custodian on all internal staff communications

• Oversee IR representation in external referral matters.

• Act as HR Lead on any strategic projects.

• Oversee and lead culture and engagement and enablement initiatives to further support the Company Values and performance goals.

• Deliver and drive Wellness initiatives.

• Represent the Organisation in all HR initiatives at Shareholder and/or Board level (as may be required). Internal: Leadership team (EXCO), Board members, Line managers, Employees, Union representatives. Cross functional teams External: HR Service providers, Union officials, Legal counsel, Stats/ Bargaining Council. Shareholder company stakeholders. • Strong people skills (high “EQ”) . Required Qualifications / Experience

 

Qualification and Experience

 

• Degree in Human Resource Management or Industrial Psychology

• Post Graduate Qualification in HR/ Industrial Psychology/ Labour relations is preferable

• 5 -8 years experience in a manufacturing & unionised environment as an HR Generalist

• Minimum 2 -3 years experience in Leading HR functional Strategy
