SUMMARY:
HR Information Systems Specialist (Cape Town)

POSITION INFO:

We have an opportunity for a HRIS Specialist to join our Human Capital Team, working particularly with the newly-implemented Workday® system. The successful candidate in this role will be responsible for maintaining all facets of the system, including administration, on-going maintenance/ support of the system and working closely with the Senior HRIS Specialists based in Cape Town.

HR Systems:

ØSystem Administrator for the whole HR input system, driving data capturing and consistency.
ØAssist with and resolve HRIS users issues using appropriate support network.
ØWork closely with the super-users in other companies within the group, to ensure full alignment of changes affecting global workflows.
ØAssist with the training and implementations of new system functionality or modules.
ØProvide support to the HR team and the business on all system-related experience.
ØManage all system updates in close liaison with all stakeholders including IT, HR and Payroll users, employees and managers.

HR Operational Effectiveness:

ØSupport HR projects through the system in line with the Business Strategy.
ØProvide support on HR administration auditing and processes.
ØCreate and update HR documentation, including policies, process, FAQ’s and ensuring the HR intranet is always up to date.

 

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

ØMatric/Grade 12 or equivalent is essential.
ØRelevant tertiary qualification is advantageous.
ØIn-depth knowledge and experience with HR information systems and respective business processes, notifications and workflows is essential.
ØExperience in testing and quality assurance of system implementation.
ØAbility to consider holistic impact of changes implemented through HR information systems.
ØExperience with diverse resource environment and ability to work with a diverse set of stakeholders.
ØGood interpersonal skills, able to work effectively with all staff levels.
ØAbility to explain complex concepts clearly & dynamic presentation skills.
ØAn organised individual with the ability to plan and prioritise.
ØGood project management skills & Strategic and analytic mind-set.
ØMust be deadline and target driven with good time management.
ØHighly computer literate.
ØAbility to work under pressure and adapt well to change.
