HR Generalist

SUMMARY:
Our client, a leader within the Office Automation industry has a vacancy for an experienced HR Generalist. This position will be based at their offices in Johannesburg.

POSITION INFO:

Job Description:

The HR Generalist is responsible primarily for building organizational capability and capacity by implementing and managing excellent recruitment, selection and development practices.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

• Recruitment & Selection
• Fulfill the recruitment process
• Advising and providing feedback to Management
• Assisting with the formulation of Job Specifications, Profiles and Salary Benchmarking
• Building a talent pool
• Coordinating the assessment process
• Managing the relationships with external suppliers
• Ensuring recruitment meets the objectives of the HR Plan, HR Budget, EE Plan and BBBEE Plan
• Onboarding
• Training & Development
• Fulfill the role as Company’s SDF and compiling the annual WSP and ATR
• Analyzing training needs
• Identification of talent within the Company
• Assisting in the formulation of an overall Development Plan based on individual PDP’s
• Facilitating Coaching and Mentoring
• Coordinating the company’s Learnership/Internship programme
• Coordinating training initiatives
• Management of the workback period
• Retention
• Facilitate the formulation and implementation of the Succession Planning and Career Paths
• Assist in the formulation and implementation of Reward Strategies

• General
• Assist with general HR admin and queries, including processing of Monthly payroll and reports associated with payroll
• Assist the HR Manager on Projects that arise from strategy and operations

Educational Requirements:

• Grade 12
• Completed Human Resources or related (Industrial Psychology, Organisation Development) Diploma
• Or, in final year of HR or related Degree

Experience and Skills Required:

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in same or similar role
• Experience with Recruitment and Selection practices
• Experience with Training and Development practices
• Experience as an SDF or ISDF
• Good overall knowledge of HR practices
• Good knowledge of South African Labour Legislation (BCEA, LRA, SDA,EE)
• Knowledge of Performance Management practices
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
• Intermediate level experience with MS Office (Word, Excel and Outlook)
