HR COORDINATOR


Introduction:
A property development company situated in Johannesburg Central is seeking to employ an organised and dynamic HR Coordinator with 4 – 6 years’ experience in a similar role to become part of their team.


Main Purpose:
This document describes the job functions, responsibilities, and tasks of a Human Resources (HR) Coordinator. The HR Coordinator reports to the HR Manager and will be based in the Head Office.
In this position, your primary responsibility will be to assist with HR Administration, Industrial Relations, performance and wellbeing. You will also be involved in the administration, recruiting, hiring, onboarding, benefits and HR related queries of employees.

JOB SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS
Job Experience and Education:
• 4 - 6 years’ experience in similar role.
• Experience in the Facility Management environment (Beneficial)
• Matric: Essential
• HR Diploma/Degree or equivalent qualification (Essential)
Other: Leave Days
• 15 days per annum


Knowledge and Skills:
English proficiency (Essential) & other African language (advantageous)
English proficiency - Work requires professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills (Essential)
Computer literacy of MS Office, Excel (Essential)

KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
HR Administration (40%)
• Collect all relevant information of employees, upload and maintain on Sharepoint.
• Manage the administration of the onboarding and offboarding process.
• Review and update as well as upkeep of Policies and Workflow Processes.
• Attend general staff meeting, ensure that agenda and minutes are drafted and posted and respond to HR related queries at the meeting.
• Responsible for submitting relevant documents as well as ROE to COIDA.


Industrial Relations (20%)
• Handling all IR related matters and CCMA representation.
• Draft warnings, notices of hearing and other relevant information and provide to relevant line manager.
• Assist initiator with preparation of hearings and prepare all relevant information.
• Liaise with external IR Company as and when required.
• Assist line managers with preparation of CCMA documentation.
• Assist line managers with abscondment process.
• Responsible for UNION liaising and shop steward engagement.
• Responsible for minute taking of all meetings.


Performance and staff wellbeing (20%)
• Preparation of all job descriptions, ensuring that all positions have Job Descriptions.
• Ensuring all JDs are linked to KPI/KPA.
• Manage the performance management process by ensuring that line management is equipped to performance manage staff.
• Custodian of staff communication, roadshows and staff engagement workshops.
• Custodian of engagement and staff climate surveys.
• Liaise and coordinate wellness programs for staff.


Recruitment (20%)
• Ensure that vacancy is advertised on relevant platforms.
• Assist with staff vacancies by administrating internal transfers.
• Arrange interviews to screen candidates and occasionally attend interviews.
• Ensure managers use relevant interview guides for interviews.
• Coordinate all relevant checks for candidates.
• Assist with relevant documentation to hire successful candidates.


REMUNERATION
• R 21 000 CTC
• Group risk benefits and provident fund contribution included in cost to company
• Commissions or Bonuses
• Bonus based on performance against key performance areas and at management
discretion.
