POSITION INFO:

Our client, a leading meat wholesale supplier based in the Clayville, Olifantsfontein region, is looking for a skilled HR / Payroll administrator to oversee all aspects of Human Resources and Payroll.  You will support business needs and ensure the proper implementation of company strategy and objectives.     

 

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:

  • Responsible for the day to day running of the HR department.
  • Support all internal and external HR related inquiries or requests.
  • Ensuring HR document control.
  • Creating and updating personnel files.
  • Maintaining employee records; ensuring that employee changes are entered correctly and made on a timely basis; review changes for proper authorization.
  • Managing the recruitment of personnel.
  • Creating and updating policies and procedures.
  • Managing employee disciplinary and corrective action.
  • Administering and capturing the WCA forms on IOD employees.
  • Updating staff employment contracts.
  • Advising line managers and employees on employment laws and legislation.
  • Managing staff training on personnel procedures and policies.
  • Planning, developing and documenting HR policies in line with the company’s vision.
  • Responsible for the preparation and processing of the weekly payroll on Sage VIP payroll system and resolve any payroll errors/ queries.
  • Communicate payroll changes to the Financial Manager.
  • Reviewing and ensuring accuracy of approved advances and overtime claims.
  • Handling the administration of the Smart Time biometric system.
  • Assist with the recruitment process by identifying candidates, performing reference checks and issuing employment contracts.
  • Assist with performance management procedures.
  • Schedule meetings, interviews, HR events and maintain agendas.
  • Perform induction, orientation, and update records of new staff.
  • Complete termination paperwork and exit interviews.
  • Keep up to date with the latest HR trends and best practices.

                                                           

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Matric (Grade 12) essential.
  • Diploma/ Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, or related field required.
  • A minimum of 1-3 years of human resource management experience essential.
  • Exposure to labour law and employment equity regulations.
  • Effective HR administration and people management skills.
  • Exposure to payroll practices.
  • Full understanding of HR functions and best practices.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Works well under pressure and meets tight deadlines.
  • Highly computer literate with capability in email, MS Office and related business and communication tools.
  • Fantastic organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • Ability to accurately follow instructions.
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.

                                                                                                                                   

SALARY

R18 000 - R20 000 CTC (negotiable depending on qualification / experience)
