SUMMARY:
Our client based in Rustenburg, North West is seeking an on-the-ball, store-based HR & IR Officer that will excel in a fast-paced retail/FMCG environment and thrive under pressure.

POSITION INFO:

Minimum Requirements:

  • Matric.
  • Relevant qualification.
  • 3+ years’ experience in a similar role in a Retail/FMCG environment.
  • Experience in the execution of actions in-line with the LRA, BCEA and in particular the SD9.
  • Experience working on Psiber Payroll would be advantageous.
  • Valid driver’s licence.

 

Duties and responsibilities:

 

  • Responsible to update employee details.
  • Addressing any payroll queries monthly and ensuring transactional HR and Payroll work is addressed at the store.
  • Manage employee conduct, actions and performance on a daily basis in-line with the Company Disciplinary Procedure and Guide and the Code of Conduct.
  • Manage employee and absence attendance register.
  • Carrying out of the execution of Industrial Action – warnings, reporting, hearings and grievances/queries and address timeously and managing the full disciplinary process.
  • Ensuring employees are issued with the required contract of employment and in-line with the Sectoral Determination Act 9 of the BCEA.
  • Ensuring that weekly checks on time sheets are performed against the Payroll time keeping system.
  • Managing staff queries at store level and interaction with Management of employee’s concerns daily.
  • Managing the staff scheduling planner in-line with the Operations and Floor Management and Store requirements.
  • Managing IR activities; from issuing warnings at store level, managing attendance and absence, controlling the actions to be taken on overages and underage’s.
  • Managing Discipline throughout the business.
  • Drafting reports and feedback to Management on store activities as required on a Daily, Weekly and Monthly basis.
  • Statutory reporting in terms of Compliance and Audits (IOD, OHSA and Covid reporting).
  • Able to manage the Store Payroll and the Employee queries at store on a daily, weekly and monthly basis.
  • Inputting the payroll activities onto the payroll system for the floor.
  • Ensuring that day to day HR, Payroll and IR functions are addressed proactively.

Additional Information:

  • Must be willing to work long working hours (Monday to Saturday).
  • The successful candidate must be willing to travel between and serve two stores in the area.
  • Must be willing to assist when stock takes when required.
