HORTICULTURIST/AGRONOMIST

SUMMARY:
White River – Mpumalanga: Our client has an opportunity available for a qualified Horticulturist/Agronomist to join their Technical Department. The position is based at the Head Office in White River; however, the candidate will be required to travel between various farms within the Lowveld.

POSITION INFO:

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum: BSc/MSc Qualification in agricultural field
• 1 – 3 Years’ experience in agriculture, preferably with R&D (research and development)
• Experience with Subtropical Fruit
• Expert knowledge of orchard management
• Expert knowledge of research methodology
• Macadamia and Avocado experience – an added advantage
• Strong technical skills
• Advanced computer skills
• Highly analytical
• Attention to detail
• High level commitment to accuracy and quality
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Self-motivated, innovative, and proactive
