HORTICULTURALIST / HYDROPONIC MANAGER

Carletonville JHB – Gauteng: An exciting opportunity awaits the successful candidate.

POSITION INFO:

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• A MSc degree in Horticulture and or relevant degree, highly advantageous
• Min of 3 years previous work experience in a similar role
• Previous strawberry tunnel experience highly advantageous  
• Propagation of cuttings and seed germination
• Firm understanding of propagation and seeding
• Conversant in plant naming/recognition
• Proven ability to manage projects
• Fertigation and understanding of formulation in applications
• Production forecasting and planning advantageous
• Irrigation application and requirements, basic knowledge on irrigations systems
• Manage and work with a team of workers efficiently and effectively
• Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Computer literate
