POSITION INFO:

The Opportunity

We are looking for a Trade Tested Electrician with strong heavy-duty/mining industry experience to maintain, troubleshoot and repair industrial electrical systems and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and repair electrical faults on industrial equipment and transformers.

• Inspect, test and maintain Ship-to-Shore Cranes, Belt Loaders and conveyor systems.

• Maintain AC Variable Speed Drives (Vacon) and 3-phase motor control equipment.

• Maintain 3-phase and single-phase lighting systems.

• Perform PLC programming and fault-finding on Mitsubishi, Siemens and ABB systems.

• Work with conveyor safety devices and SCADA systems.

• Perform planned and preventative maintenance.

• Complete maintenance schedules, work orders and breakdown repairs.

• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.

• Participate in standby and after-hours duties when required.

Minimum Requirements:

• Trade Tested Electrician

• Matric / Grade 12

• Minimum 5 years' heavy-duty/mining electrical experience

• Experience with PLC systems – Mitsubishi, Siemens and/or ABB

• Experience with industrial cranes and conveyor systems

• Knowledge of conveyor safety devices is essential.

• Ability to work at heights and perform physical work.

• Valid Code B/Code 8 driver's licence

• Valid South African ID

• Willingness to work standby and after hours.
