An established financial services institution is seeking a Group Management Accountant to join their

POSITION INFO:

An established financial services institution is seeking a Group Management Accountant to join their finance team on a 6-month contract. This role will be responsible for management reporting, financial analysis, and supporting key business decisions through accurate, timely insights. It's a great opportunity for a hands-on accountant who can work independently, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and enjoys improving systems and processes.

What you'll be doing:

Review monthly accounting entries and reconciliations
Prepare and analyse management reports
Support budgeting and forecasting cycles
Ensure all control accounts, balance sheets, and income statements are reconciled monthly
Assist Regional Managers with financial information and reporting
Liaise with internal and external auditors
Resolve reconciling and long-outstanding balance sheet items
Drive process, systems, and internal control improvements
Provide ad hoc financial analysis and support as needed
Assist with B-BBEE reporting and compliance

What we're looking for:

BCom Accounting (Honours or CIMA preferred)
CA(SA) or CIMA qualification advantageous
3-5 years' relevant experience in financial services or insurance
Strong IFRS and technical accounting knowledge
Advanced MS Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, complex formulas)
Experience with MS Dynamics / Great Plains / Business Central advantageous
Deadline-driven, analytical, and solutions-oriented with excellent communication skills
