A well-established global engineering and technology group is seeking a Group Financial Accountant to join their Johannesburg-based team on a fixed-term, project-focused contract. This is a hands-on, technically strong role suited to a qualified Accountant who thrives in structured environments, enjoys digging into numbers, and takes pride in accurate, insightful reporting.

Reporting directly to the Finance Manager, you’ll play a key role in delivering high-quality monthly reporting, ensuring IFRS compliance, and supporting the broader finance function with analysis, investigations, and technical input. Key Responsibilities:

Prepare accurate, timeous monthly management accounts and group reporting packs
Ensure the correct tax treatment of transactions in line with SA tax legislation
Maintain and manage the fixed asset registers
Perform detailed expense analysis and investigations
Support internal control frameworks and governance requirements
Assist with ad hoc technical accounting queries
Ensure accurate financial data captured within accounting systems
Deliver analysed, decision-ready financial information to management

Job Experience and Skills Required:

Qualified CA(SA)
Completed audit articles (3–4 years)
4–5 years’ experience in a structured finance or customer services environment advantageous
Strong working knowledge of IFRS and South African tax legislation
Experience with management accounting and financial analysis
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting systems
Acumatica and Pastel Payroll exposure advantageous
Valid driver’s license
