POSITION INFO:
Our client is a growing manufacturing and engineering conglomerate based in Johannesburg North, looking to appoint a commercially minded Group FP&A Manager. Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer, you'll become a trusted business partner across multiple entities, helping shape commercial strategy through budgeting, forecasting, financial modelling and performance analysis. This is a highly visible role where your insights won't sit in a report, they'll help drive investment decisions, improve profitability and influence the future direction of the business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead group budgeting and forecasting processes
- Build financial models and scenario analysis for strategic planning
- Analyse business performance, profitability, and key financial drivers
- Deliver executive reporting, dashboards, and commercial insights
- Partner with operational leaders to improve business performance
- Support pricing, margin optimisation, and investment decisions
- Conduct financial due diligence for strategic opportunities
- Present financial recommendations to senior leadership
- Drive continuous improvement across FP&A processes and reporting
Job Experience and Skills:- CIMA qualified preferred, alternatively a BCom Degree with completed Articles
- 3 to 4 years' experience in FP&A, Commercial Finance, Financial Analysis or a similar role
- Manufacturing, engineering, construction or related industry experience
- Strong experience in budgeting, forecasting, management reporting and financial modelling
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills with the ability to build models
- Strong commercial acumen with experience in variance analysis and profitability reporting
- Exposure to financial due diligence and strategic business analysis
- Excellent communication, presentation and stakeholder management skills
- A commercially curious mindset with a passion for solving business problems through data
