JOB DESCRIPTION:

An exciting career opportunity is available at one of the premier golf & leisure resorts in the country for an experienced and motivated Group Coordinator.

We consider the following as essential:
Qualifications & Experience:

Grade 12 or equivalent,
Knowledge of MS Office suite and at least 1 years work experience in reservations, customer sales or banqueting & events coordinating is a prerequisite,
A valid driver’s license will be required,
Work experience on any booking and point-of-sales system, would be advantageous.

Duties & Responsibilities (areas and indicators listed are not exhaustive and may be changed / supplemented to accommodate business needs from time to time):

Making and processing group reservations and events by email and telephone,
Following up on tentative bookings and all deposits which are due and ensuring that these are processed,
Coordinate site inspections for groups travelling/requested with the various managers required (Conferences, functions),
Coordinating pre-conference meetings to ensure correct handover to the operations team,
Pro-actively market and introduce available packages and new services,
Overseeing the entire event planning and handling any day to day queries and complaints,
Promote all activities available on the Resort.

Adverse working conditions:

Must be prepared to work weekends & Public holidays,
Must be prepared to work shifts.
